IMPORTANT NOTES ON FILES

The same file can be used in multiple places across a site. If the file is modified/removed, the change will be reflected in all locations across the site that pull it.

Allowed file types

The following file types are allowed on a MacSite: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pdf, doc, docx, ppt, pptx, pps, ppsx, xls, xlsx

Adding files

The best way to add files is centrally in the WordPress media library. Follow the steps below for adding files to a website.

  1. Login to the back-end of the website.
  2. In the left sidebar select ‘Media’. This is the WordPress Media Library that houses all files for a site.
  3. Select the ‘Add New’ button at the top of the page.
  4. Select the ‘Select Files’ button. (Note: All sites will have a max upload file size limit listed below this button. Files larger than the limit will fail on upload. If a higher file size limit is required, please contact the MPS Web Team to have it increased.)
  5. Select the file to be uploaded. Once selected, it will be listed as an item in the media library and can be selected wherever files are allowed across the site.
