Page Template – Dynamic Content (News, Events, People, Resources and Testimonials)

WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

The Dynamic Content Page Templates are the standard format for full page dynamic content (news, events, people, resources and testimonials).

Dynamic content will be pulled in automatically so the pages don’t need to be updated as content is added. For example, a dynamic news page will add the most recent article when the news item is added to the back-end of your site.

HOW TO SET IT UP?

When adding, updating or removing webpages on a MacSite, the page’s ‘Template’ setting can be found in the right/secondary sidebar in the ‘Page Attributes’ section. Select the dynamic content type from the ‘Template’ dropdown. For example, to build a news page the ‘News Page’ template should be selected.

ELEMENTS THAT CAN BE USED ON DEFAULT PAGES

Elements shouldn’t be used with Dynamic Pages. In some cases, they may work, but may not be supported with future updates.

Built in features

Dynamic content pages publish automatically with search and filter capabilities. The news page template also adds a date range selector.
